Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 24, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Remove.Live uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at remove.live.

The short version: we do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device. They help websites remember preferences, maintain sessions, and provide features. Cookies can be "first-party" (set by the website you visit) or "third-party" (set by other services embedded in the page).

2. Cookies We Use

Remove.Live uses only essential, functional cookies. We do not set any cookies for tracking, advertising, or analytics purposes.

Necessary Cookies

These cookies are required for the website to function correctly.

Analytics Cookies

We do not use analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, or any similar tracking tools.

Advertising Cookies

We do not use advertising cookies. We do not display ads. We do not participate in ad networks or retargeting programs.

Preference Cookies

The theme cookie listed above is the only preference cookie we set. It stores your choice of light or dark mode so the site remembers your selection on your next visit.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Remove.Live does not embed third-party services that set cookies. We do not load social media widgets, advertising scripts, or third-party analytics.

Our hosting provider (Vercel) may set infrastructure-level cookies for load balancing and security. These are strictly necessary and not used for tracking.

4. Local Storage and Cache

In addition to cookies, Remove.Live uses your browser's local storage and cache for the following purposes:

  • AI model cache: The background removal AI model (45–70MB) is cached in your browser so it loads instantly on return visits and works offline.
  • Theme preference: Your light/dark mode selection may also be stored in localStorage.

These are stored locally on your device. They are not transmitted to any server.

5. How to Manage Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Here is how to do it in common browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies

Clearing cookies will reset your theme preference to the system default. Clearing the browser cache will remove the cached AI model, requiring a fresh download on your next visit.

6. Do Not Track

We respect Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals. However, since we do not track users in the first place, the DNT setting has no practical effect on our site.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if we change our cookie practices. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised date. We encourage you to check this page periodically.
